Prison employees - from guards to clerks and other employees, a security camera system can monitor their activities to make sure appropriate procedures are in place for prisoner transport or discipline. This keeps the employees as well as the prisoners safe.

Valuables - while prisons typically have very little in the way of valuables, some items such as radios, televisions or other items may have value or be subjected to vandalism. Cameras positioned to monitor these items can help to prevent theft or damage.
